"And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matt 10:28)
I am weary with sorrow for the sins of the world and the depravity of my country. There is a reason why we live in such dark times. We are the strong and noble ones. We are the warriors of God. As such, we do not cower or falter in times of adversity nor retreat when confronted with evil. For it is written in Proverbs 24:10: "If thou faint in the days of adversity, thy strength is small." Or, as the ancient samurai used to say: "If you refuse to retreat in the face of something, you gain the strength of two men."
Now is the time for our offense and for our swords to be pulled from their scabbards, with steel straight and true, bright and sharpened, purified as the revealed truth. Surely, one sword out keeps another one sheathed. It is time to choose sides and declare whom you will serve. The Lord has provided us with the tools necessary to win the war on evil. We have the scriptures, prophets, revelation, and above all else, testimony to serve as witness to our efforts. Wickedness never was happiness and can never stand on its own in the face of truth. And why? "Because sin is weakness," as James E. Talmage declared in his inspired tome Jesus the Christ: "Because there is nothing in the world so abject as a guilty conscience, nothing so invincible as the sweeping tide of Godlike indignation against all that is base and wrong." Christ knew this and performed His work with exactness and with honor. He was unwavering, unfaltering, and secure in his knowledge of what is right and what is wrong. He did not run or shrink in despair. He was not quiet or ashamed. Nor did he fear the reprise of man - at all. He knew that in the end the truth would overcome and set us free. Evil cannot prosper while Good stirs. To be sure, "Vice cannot stand for one moment before Virtue's uplifted arm!"
Welcome to the war. You are not alone. God is with us. We will prevail. "Fear not; for they that be with us are more than they that be with them." 2 Kings 6: 16-17.
Long live the fighters
